JOHN ALFORD
John Alford, 70, died at his home at Fries on Sunday morning, March 7, 1937, following a lengthy
illness.
Mr. Alford is survived by three sons, Robert, Everett, and George Alford, Fries, and a daughter, who lives in North Carolina. Mrs. Alford, who was, before her marriage, Miss Frances Smythers, preceded her husband in death 42 years ago, as did four of his children.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, March 9, by Rev. C. F. Watkins, pastor of the Fries Methodist church, and interment was in Fries cemetery.
