Rex was the third of eight surviving children of Steven Leo Reggio and Jeanne Elizabeth Ward Reggio.


He was exceptionally gifted as an artist and created many beautiful sculptures, drawings and paintings. He was well-liked by his teachers and peers.


Rex was survived by his maternal grandmother, parents, seven siblings, brother-in-law, and a niece and nephew.


His death at such a young age was a great loss for his family.
