Marjorie Ann Burdge, 93, Greencastle, passed away on Tuesday, May 5th, 2015 at the Avon Health Care Center. She was born November 2nd, 1921 in Mooresville, Indiana and was the daughter of the late Floyd and Ruth (Hornaday) Pennington. She was married to Russell E. Burdge October 25th, 1939 and he preceded her in death on September 29th, 1994.

Survivors are her children Julia Clark and her husband Bruce, Danville, Loretta Daugherty and her husband John, Clayton, Jim Burdge and his wife Judy, Greencastle, and Jeffrey Burdge and his wife Elaine, Greencastle, 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary McComb and Betty Neitzel and her brothers, Maurice Pennington and Floyd Pennington.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Union Valley Baptist Church at Belle Union and a former member of the Faith Baptist Church at Avon.

Funeral services for Mrs. Burdge will be held on Saturday, May 9th, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, IN. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 9th, 2015 from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at the New Providence Cemetery.
