Pembroke -Mr. Herman Marlin Boone, 87, died Sunday at his residence after a short illness. Mr. Boone was a native of Florida but had lived here most of his life. He was a veteran of the Navy for 4 years serving in WW II, had retired from Great Dane after 26 years, and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. He is predeceased by two sons Marlin Boone, Jr. and Wayne Boone. Survivors include his wife of 9 1/2 years Mrs. Mary Boone of Pembroke; three sons and daughter-in-law, Van and Virginia Boone of Pembroke, Walter and Judy Boone of Perkins, Randy and Glenda Stapleton of Guyton; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Helen Stevenson of Fernadina, FL, Sandra Robins of Pembroke, Gail and Rufus Clark of Richmond Hill, Ann and Fred Crapse of Statesboro; one sister, Inez Jacobs of Lake City, FL, 26 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ross Kight officiating.
