Sergeant Major Donald Frederick West was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army, SMAJ West served our country until April 28th, 1971 in Quang Nam, South Vietnam. He was 41 years old and was married. It was reported that Donald died from an undetermined explosion. His body was recovered. Donald was born on February 4th, 1930 in Lakehurst, New Jersey. SMAJ West is on panel 03W, line 017 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C.
