Dora Clementine Heavener daughter of John Heavener and wife was born in Pennsylvania Nov 17, 1869, died Nov, 17 1909, age 40 years.
She came with her parents to Marion Co, Iowa in 1871. In 1893 she was married to Albert Jordan; to this union were born two children one son Dee and a daughter Henrietta.
In 1890 she united with the church of God at Rhoads school house. She remained faithful and at the last gave sufficient evidence that she ready to depart. Her mother precedes her also a sister. There yet remain her husband with two small children, one sister and a brother, and many friends to mourn her departure.
She expressed frequently her regrets that her affliction deprived her of the privileges of active church work but expressed the hope that her parents solitude might help others to appreciate these privileges.
The funeral service was conducted at Eden Methodist Episcopal church west of town by Rev. C. W. Proctor of Pleasantville and the body there in the beautiful cemetery was laid to rest.
