He was born July 9, 1925, in Caldwell County, Ky., to Robert E. "Pid" and Melissa Frances Thomas Alexander. He was a graduate of the University of Texas at Elpaso, Texas. He worked and retired as an electronic engineer with the White Sands, N. M., missile base. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He was a Kentucky Colonel. He was of the Christian faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Rosemary "Betty" Alexander, on Oct. 6, 1993.
Funeral services will be held at at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs with the Rev. Randall Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
