Mustered out on August 14, 1863 at Camp Miller, Greenfield, Massachusetts.
Draft records for Military Service dated June 1863 indicate his former military service
was in the 52nd Regiment of the Massachusetts Infantry.

The 4th Massachusetts Cavalry was organized at Readville, Massachusetts on
December 26, 1863. The exact date he mustered in was not found.

He served with Co. H, 4th Massachusetts Cavalry at Camp Meigs until his death.
Died at General Hospital, Readville, Massachusetts of lung fever. Aged 20.
