She was the daughter of the late John M. and Clemmie Mae Newman Linebaugh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Taylor Jenkins on November 9, 2006 with whom she had celebrated their sixty-seventh anniversary in July of that year; a son, Jerry Ray Jenkins; three sisters, Irene Parson, Bertie Ann Long and Reba Markland and three brothers, Newman Linebaugh, Jay Linebaugh and George E. Linebaugh.
She worked for thirty-four years at Bemberg Corporation and for three years in the sewing factory of Denise Lingerie in Johnson City.
Mrs. Jenkins was a member of Harvest Baptist Church but attended Shelter Independence Church, Elizabethton.
She enjoyed camping at the Watauga Lake, boating and water skiing and trips to Dollywood.
