Age 59

With grace and dignity, of lymphoma, most likely caused by massive exposure to Agent Orange while serving in the tragic Vietnam War. As he wished, Bob died at home, embraced by his beloved wife and daughter. Bob was a gift to all of us with his intelligence and wit and strong opinions about what was right and wrong with the world. He loved golf and travel and his red TT, but mostly he loved the wonderful network of family and friends who surrounded him on his final journey. He lived a full, happy life; he just deserved many more years. Yet he never complained, but rather faced his struggle with a courage and strength that we were privileged to share, and that will be a model for us all to emulate. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Robert Paul, Sr., whose passing in 1965 left a hole that was never filled. He is survived by his lifetime companion and soul mate, Nancy; his treasured daughter, Sara Jane; Instead of flowers, please send memorials. All memorials will be used by the Red Cross of Vietnam to treat Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange. He will be missed.
