Andrew Sheets resided in Grayson county, Va until he enlisted with Co. D 50th Reg. Va Infantry on June 4th, 1861. He was captured at the battle of Gettysburg July 4th,1863. He was held at Fort Delaware Prison Camp until his death on September 23, 1863. He is buried at Finn's Point Cemetery in Salem, NJ.
