Born Donald Theododore Wilson. Adopted after 1948 when his father WIlliam L. Wilson died by Thomas C. Noble.

Donald was born and raised in Gunnison, CO until 1959 and moved to Long Beach, CA from 1959 to 1969. In 1969 he moved to Kenai, Alaska until he died in 2015.. He served in the US Navy from 1955 to 1959. He was a lifetime member Kenai Lodged #11, owned his own business and was retired from Chevron USA.

Don descends from the Chief Gasset of the Narragansett indian tribe and 5 of the original Mayflower pilgrams: William Susanna and Peregrine White, Francis Cooke, and Richard Warren. He is also descends from many revoltionary war patriots including one from George Washingtons Army.

He loved the sea like his four Drake families and his Slocomb families. He owned a Gulf 32 and a Cal46 Sailboat. He sailed his Gulf 32 from Seward, Alaska down the coast to Mexico when he was in his 50's.
