Opal Inez Dixon Jackson was the wife of James Ryle Jackson, Jr. She was the Mother of Sandra Jackson Bolton-Ward, Kenneth R. Jackson, and Jayme Jackson McCall. Opal was born in Live Oak Florida and moved to Perry where she meet Mr. Jackson while getting a bucket of water from the Fenhollaway River. They were married on March 26, 1938 in Mayo, Florida. The marriage was witnessed by Florence Wheelus and Morgan Jackson. Opal was the daughter of the late Roy L. Dixon and Ollie I.Carmichael Dixon. She was GRANNY to Marsha, Andrea, Lindsay, Hannah, Chelsie, Lauren and Ryan. Her grandchildren were her delight. She was Baptist in faith and attended Lakeside Baptist Church until her death.
