Patricia R. Abicunas, Ringtown, passed away Sunday at her residence.
Born in Shenandoah, she was a daughter of the late John and Sarah Lipiec.
After graduating from the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah, she moved to Connecticut with her husband James. After working 20 years for the Department of Defense, she and her husband relocated back to the Ringtown area.
Patricia was a devoted wife and loving mother. She was an avid reader, and also enjoyed doing puzzles.
She was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Ringtown.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Chester; sisters, Helen, Sophie, Angie and Rita.
Surviving are her husband of 56 years, James E. Abicunas, Ringtown; son, James J. Abicunas, Fountain Springs; daughter, Susan Danne, Aiken, S.C.; and grandson, James N. Abicunas.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Mary Church, Ringtown. Interment was in St. Casimir Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, Ringtown, assisted Patricia's family during their time of need.
