A funeral service will be held 3 pm, Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Westminster Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm, prior to the service at the Church.

Westminster, SC – Zettner "Tommy" Thomas Abbott, Jr., 76, husband of Betty Hudson Abbott, 523 Doyle Street, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Oconee Medical Center. A native of Oconee County, he was the son of the late Zettner Thomas, Sr. and Frances Dingle Abbott. Mr. Abbott was the owner of Abbott Insurance Agency. Tommy was a member of the Westminster Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Cecil Sandifer Sunday School Class. Survivors in addition to his wife Betty, include son, Zettner Thomas Abbott, III, of SC; daughters, Elizabeth Hudson Abbott French, of GA, and Rebecca Abbott Kelley, and husband Raymond of NC; and 4 grandchildren, Alexander and Mackenzie French, and Jonathan and Kathleen Kelley; and special companion "Lily". In addition to parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Marshall T. Abbott. A funeral service will be held 3 pm, Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Westminster Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm, prior to the service in the fellowship hall at the Church. The family is at their respective homes.
