LaOtto - Mary Ann Wakeman, 83, of LaOtto, died on Saturday March 14, 2015 at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville. She was born in Noble County on May 31, 1931 to the late Frederick and Flossie (Hientzelman) Young. She married Robert Wakeman on Sept 2, 1950. He preceded her in death on Jan 15, 2010. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and playing cards. She is survived by a son, Fred (Cindy) Wakeman of Fort Wayne, daughter, Lana (Stan) Whonsetler of Avilla, grandchildren, Angie (Deron) Clark, Matthew Whonsetler, John (Beth) Wakeman, Clark (Megan) Wakeman, and Scott (Bridget) Wakeman. Also surviving are 3 great grandchildren, Dathan and Davis Clark, and Amelia Wakeman. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and brothers Lloyd and Donald Young. Funeral Service will be 11:00am on Tuesday March 17, 2015 at Brazzell Funeral Homes, Avilla Chapel, 530 N Main St, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 4-8pm on Monday March 16, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial at Swan Cemetery, LaOtto. Memorials to Parkview Noble Hospice.
