Robert B. Lambert, 79, went to be with the Lord Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Bob was born on March 17, 1935 to the late Elba and Alice Lambert in Pikeville, Ky. Bob graduated from South Side High School, Purdue University with a bachelors degree and from Ball State University with a masters degree. He was an Industrial Arts and Social Studies Teacher with FWCS for over 30 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. He was a 50 year member of the Maumee Lodge #725 F&AM, becoming a 33rd degree Mason and a Scottish Rite member. He was also a 50 year member of the Shriners, He had been a Scout Master in the Boy Scouts as well. His great joy in life was spending time with his loving family. Other hobbies included gardening, genealogy, woodworking, history, and travel. Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years, Nancy Lambert of Fort Wayne, sons, Douglas Lambert, James Lambert, Richard (Rebeca) Lambert all of Fort Wayne, grandsons, Isaac and Benjamin Lambert, sister, Mary Jo (John) Barnes of Fort Wayne, and several nieces and nephews. Service is 11:00 am, Friday, March 13, 2015 at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 4700 Vance Avenue with calling one hour prior, Pastor Nick Robinson officiating. Calling at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road Thursday, March 12, 2015, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a Masonic Service at 7:30 pm. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd United Methodist Church.
