Grandpa was born to William Bradford Lanham and Jane Mariah Edwards. He was raised in southern Boone Co. He married Cora Margaret Baldridge on Jan 1, 1884. He was a blacksmith in McBaine, MO. His shop was beside the Conley bridge over Perche Creek. He died of Typhoid Fever. They had three sons: Grover age 6, Buford age 4, and Alva age 1. Hurley Lanham, Everett Sappington and Cora Margaret Lanham Sappington all are buried in the Nashville Church cemetery.
