Shreveport - Services for Mr. Ralph H. Akin, 76, of Shreveport will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday December 29 at Rose-Neath's Marshall Street Chapel. Rev. George Pearce, Jr., Associate Pastor of Broadmoor United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.

Mr. Akin, an independent oil operator, died Monday Dec. 27, 1982 at Doctors Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born in Norman, Okla. and had been a resident of Shreveport for 38 years.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Darla Akin of Shreveport, sons, Ralph H. Akin, Jr. and Richard L. Akin, of Houston, Tex.; sister, Verma Langley of Drumright, Okla.; five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Broadmoor United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
