SGT. Edward J. Bogguss was killed in action on Dec. 29th in Vietnam. His body was escorted here by Sgt. Sidney Clark. SGT. Boggess had been a resident of Lewiston for about fourteen years.

He was the son of Mrs. William F. "Jacqueline" Dodge of Lewiston and John E. Boggess of Enterprise, Ore.

He has been in Vietnam since February with only five weeks of duty remaining when he was killed.

He was born on June 29, 1946, in Hermiston, Ore. He moved with his parents to Lewiston at the age of 6. He attended elementary and high school in Lewiston, leaving school before graduation.

He was inducted into the Army in August 1967. He was a member of A Company, 1st Battalion, 6th Infantry, American Division.

Survivors other than his parents are two sisters, Mrs. Jessee Erlewine of Pomeroy; and Shirley Lynn Boggess of Lewiston; a half-brother, Robert Sheets, and a half-sister, Lynda Sheets, both of Lewiston.

FUNERAL STATED FOR WAR VICTIM

The body of Sgt. Edward J. Boggess, 22, who was killed in action in Vietnam on Dec. 29, 1969, will arrive in Lewiston today accompanied by Sgt. Sidney Clark, an army escort.

Sergeant Boggess was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William F. (Jacqueline) Dodge, of 3110 9th Street, and John E. Boggess of Enterprise, Oregon.
