"Moses served as a First Lieutenant, 8th Company, 2nd Battalion 1777, under the command of Colonel Arthur Erwine and Captain Amos Thomas. He also served in the 3rd Company, 3rd Battalion, 4th Class of the Bucks County Militia 1780 under the command of Lieutenant Colonel William Roberts and Captain Henry Dorrach. "
