Travis L. Johnson, age 84, of Texarkana, Texas, died Saturday, October 22, 2011 at his residence.Mr. Johnson was born August 27, 1927 in Graysonia, Arkansas to the late James Ester and Rhoda Ann Evans Johnson. He was retired from Cooper Tire & Rubber Company, member of the Buchanan First Baptist Church, member of the Masonic Border Lodge #672 and a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean War.He was preceded in death by his wife Lavon Johnson and a son Ernest Dale Johnson.Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Debbie and Jody Wilson of Foreman, Arkansas, Diane Patterson of Texarkana, Texas; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and a number of other relatives.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the Buchanan First Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Brazile officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
