Obituary for Michael Mozzone
Michael "Mike" Lee Mozzone, 74, died on Friday, February 13, 2015. He was born in Kokomo, the son of the late, Frank and Madonna Mozzone. Mike proudly served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired from G.E., the Taylor Street plant, after 34 years of service. He was a member of the Most Precious Blood Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Fran (Tragesser) Mozzone; children, Jason (Christina) Mozzone of Columbia City, John (Karen) Mozzone and Jana (Jeff) Rybolt both of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren, Mariah, Caleb, Justin, Meghan and Alyssa; step grandson, Andrew; and also leaving behind seven grand dogs.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Phil Mozzone.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 1515 Barthold St., with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 2-8 p.m., Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with the Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. He will be laid to rest with military honors in the Covington Memorial Gardens in Fort Wayne, IN.. Preferred memorial are to Masses, the family, or Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
