SANDY RIDGE – Molly Travis Allen, 82, formerly of Sandy Ridge, died Saturday, February 7, 2015, at Brian Center Health & Rehabilitation, Eden, NC.
Interment will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery, Salisbury, NC. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at the Enon Baptist Church with Reverend Thomas Allen officiating.
Born in Iredell County on May 9, 1932, Mrs. Allen was a member of the First Baptist Church of Madison. She was retired from the town of Madison with 16 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend James W. Allen; parents, William Augustus Travis and Dorcas Coulter Travis; four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Stanley Lee Allen, of Sandy Ridge, James W. Allen, Jr. (Caroline) of Cary; a daughter, Melanie S. Allen, of Raleigh; two grandchildren, James Allen III (Mandy) and Reverend Thomas Allen (Ashley) and great-granddaughters, Savannah, Mikayla, Julianne and Adelaide.
The family will receive friends following the memorial service in the church.

Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
