Ada Lee Boynton was the daughter of Abe and Evelena Boynton. She wwas born in Aiken County, South Carolina. Ada joined the Friendship Baptist Church, and throughout her life worked there faithfully. She was president of the Senior Missionary Circle. and also the church's organist for over fifty years. Ada was a graduate of Martha Schofield School (Aiken) and Morris College, in Sumpter, SC. Ada, before her employment as Schofield School Librian, was employed by Morris College, as Assistant Director of Student Affairs. She retired as school librian in 2009. However, Ada was a volunteer for the City of Aiken Visitor's Center Train Museum.
Ada also served a director, and musucian of the Friendship Baptist Church Male Chorus. She was responsible for the Union Baptist Church of Hempstead, New York, and the Friendship Baptist Church of Aiken, having a beautiful union for over twenty-five years. The two churches fellowshipped together, through praise and worship concerts, and many fun filled Chrisitan activities. She also served as musician for the Jerusalem Baptist Church Male Chorus Ada was known for, and be remembered for her free spirit, humor and love of serving the Lord Jesus.
