He spent his childhood in Clay City from 1932 to 1948 and also spent time in Terre Haute, IN. and Fort Wayne, IN. before moving to a family farm in rural Whitley County, IN. Harold graduated from Fort Wayne, North Side High School, with the class of 1950 and from International Business College with the class of 1952.
On October 22, 1955 he married Geraldine B. (Marshall) in Fort Wayne. Harold was the former co-owner for 21 years of Dick's TV sales, and also the secretary. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge #1906 for 35 years, Grand Lodge F&AM of Indiana for 30 years and Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite for 25 Years.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Geraldine, Daughter, Penny L. Clawson of Columbia City, IN.; sister-in-law, Patricia C. Marshall of Columbia City; grandson Timothy Clawson of Oregon; granddaughter, Heather L. Clawson of Anderson, IN; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his, Parents.
Burial took place in the Covington Memorial Gardens in Fort Wayne, IN.
