Thelma L. Pitts, 72, died at 1:15 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27, 1993, at her Ford Road, DeGraff, residence.

She was born Jan. 26, 1921 in Ashland, Ky., to Charles and Sarah Blair Lowe. She married Raymond Arthur Pitts on Aug. 17, 1937, and he died July 3, 1990.

Survivors include a son, Donald Pitts of Lakeview; two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Wilma) Heisterman of Sidney and Margaret Ritchie of DeGraff; seven grandchildren; two great-children; two brothers, Fred Lowe of Tacoma, Wash., and Leo Lowe of Michigan; and three sisters, Mrs. Donald (Opal) Maples of Chicago, Mrs. Rex (Dorothy) Shealthelm of Jackson, Mich., and Mrs. Tom (Dixie) Smith, also of Jackson.

Two sons, James and Robert Pitts, five brothers and three sisters are deceased.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Richeson-Wickham and Atkins Funeral Home in St. Paris, where the Rev. Gilbert Philips will conduct services at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery near Rosewood.

Memorials may be made to Hospice, c/o Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney.
