An avid hunter and fisherman, Jimmie Wayne Hood died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2014, at his home in Albertville. He was 71.
He was the son of James Hood and Leona Williams Hood. A former resident of Guntersville, Mr. Hood attended Marshall County High School. After being in business at Hood Electric Company for 52 years, he retired in 2011.
Mr. Hood is survived by his wife, Betty Lambert Hood of Albertville; 2 daughters, Leigh Cooper (Darrell) of Alexander City and Kelly Hood (Scott Bourne) of San Marcos, California; 3 grandchildren, Jordan Cooper (Kevin Rockett) of Pelham and Kyle Cooper and Sidney Cooper, both of Alexander City; a sister, Judy Teal (Cooter) of Albertville and a brother, Ronnie Hood (Mary) of Boaz.
