Hall of Fame Professional Golfer. He will be remembered for besting Arnold Palmer to capture the 1960 British Open crown. He compiled 61 wins on the PGA Tour of Australasia, prior to turning professional in 1946. In 1965, he finished runner-up to Gary Player in the US Open. During the course of his career, he recorded at least one PGA victory from 1946 until 1975. He is a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame.
