JAMES ADKINS
Services for James Edward Adkins will be 12:30 p.m. in First Baptist Church of Hansford with the Rev. Charles White and the Rev. James Burnett officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston.
Mr. Adkins, 50, of Hansford, was found Saturday in a lake in Hurricane after being reported missing.
Surviving: wife, Corine C. Adkins; sons, Joseph Morris of Chesapeake, James Morris of Charleston, Rosie B. Morris of Hansford, Danny Lee Adkins of Hansford, Louie DeCarlo Adkins and Terry Lee Adkins, both of Hansford; stepdaughters, Mrs. Rebecca Watkins of Sandford, Florida; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Adkins of St. Albans; brothers, Wilbur, Albert and Fred, all of St. Albans, Arthur of Charleston, Harvey and Edgar, both of Cleveland, Ohio, Lee Jr. of Long Beach, Calif., Robert of Detroit; sisters, Miss Minnie Adkins of St. Albans, Mrs. Eleanor Claytor, Mrs. Thelma Booker, Mrs. Nona Desmond and Miss Julie Ann Adkins, all of St. Albans, Mrs. Marietta Johnson of Fort Belvoir, Virginia, Mrs. Lella Wynn of Pamona, California, Mrs. Aileen Williams of Dunbar; sixteen grandchildren.
Family will receive friends 7 to 8 p.m. today at Preston Funeral Home. There will be no viewing.
