William H. Smurr, age 91, of Garrett, Indiana passed away on Saturday January 24, 2015 at Miller's Merry Manor in Garrett. He was born January 19, 1924 in Auburn, IN. a son of Lester, and Agnes E. (Hosack) Smurr.
He married Lois J. (Kock) on February 9, 1957 in Garrett, IN. she passed away April 19, 2003

William was a press operator at B. F. Goodrich in Woodburn, IN. for 26 years, retiring in 1987; and he served his country in the U. S. Air Force during WWII. and was a member of the Garrett American Legion and the Eagles Lodge.

He was survived by 2 son; Tom (Tara) Smurr of Garrett; Mike (Tammy) Smurr of Toledo, OH; 2 brothers Jack and John Smurr both of Garrett; and 3 granddaughters; Danyell (Jeremiah) Kemerer Hicksville, OH.; Kelsi; and Maggi Smurr both of Garrett.

Besides his wife he was also preceded in death by his parents; a brother Jim Smurr; and sister, Betty Terrell.

Burial took place in the Christian Union Cemetery in Garrett, IN.
