Gainesville - Dorotha Sapp Smith born March 14, 1917 was met by her Lord and Savior on January 23, 2015 and reunited with her husband, L. Wilson Smith, daughter Arline, parents C. Edward "Bud" and Alice Langford Sapp, brothers Edward and Barlie, sisters Arvada Dawson and Veleta Dawson, and many brothers-and-sisters-in-law, she considered siblings.
She is survived by Gerald (Janet) and Melvin (Tish) Smith, J.W. "Tommy" (Mary) Carlisle, Karon (Ralph) Grabel, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews, whom she loved.
Her family is deeply grateful for the loving care provided by her church family and Newberry community.
Viewing will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday evening at the Milam Funeral Home of Newberry. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Newberry, 25520 West Newberry Road Newberry, FL 32669. Interment will follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
