Services celebrating and honoring the life of Ms. Minnie Mae Herlong Haddick were held Saturday June 27, 2020 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop with Ferrell Bostick officiating. Committal and interment followed in the Herlong family plot at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

Minnie was born November 22, 1931 at Oak Grove, Louisiana to the late Ernest Early Hamby and Lorene Caffrey Hamby. She passed away June 26, 2020 at Glenwood Regional Hospital in West Monroe, Louisiana. Along with her parents Ms. Haddick is preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Clifton Herlong, her second husband, Lamar Haddick, her son Early Eugene Herlong, two grandsons, Steven Eugene Bullock and Timothy Craig Bullock and two sisters, Ruth Jones and Pearl Robinson.

Minnie was a life-long resident and homemaker in the Log Cabin Community. She was a Christian who loved her Lord and Savior and worshiped him at Bonita Road Baptist Church where she was a member. Minnie loved the outdoors. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, and simply working outside tending to "yard work". She also loved her fur baby "Troubles". Minnie always looked forward to big family gatherings, especially the yearly Christmas parties where she was the boss and prankster of the event. She always enjoyed catching up with everyone. Minnie spent many Friday and Saturday nights at the VFW in Monroe because she loved to dance and that she did alot of . Crawfish was a favorite time of year for her because she enjoyed eating them so much. Another favorite event that she loved was girls night out where all the ladies gathered to eat steak at her favorite restaurant, Texas Roadhouse. Minnie also enjoyed going to flea markets and yard sales looking for the next good deal or bargain. Most important in her life was family and Minnie was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

Ms. Haddick is survived by her daughters Carolyn Herlong Bullock and husband Terry and Sharon Harrell and husband Larry; four grandchildren Kristy Harrell Vickers and husband David, Trinity "Trent" Bullock, Mindy Bullock Scott and husband Matthew, and Jennifer Herlong Polk and husband Brian; eight great-grandchildren, triplets Meredith Vickers, Ashley Vickers, and Hunter Vickers and wife Kinsley, Kara Bullock, Trena Bullock, Tessa Bullock, Brystal Bullock, and Mary Kate Polk. She is also survived by four sisters Hazel Nations, Myrtle Porter, Tina Lewis, Gloria LeBrun, and JoAnn Turner; and a special cousin/sister Iva Gene Winnon.
