Edward was the son of Christian Prinz and Anna Diekemp of Germany.

He was married to Elizabeth Richter in 1887 in Philadelphia. Edward immigrated to Philadelphia about 1883. He was a baker at a restaurant. He died of tuberculosis. He was residing at 1036 North Girard Avenue.

Edward and Elizabeth were the parents of the following known children (3 more had died before 1900):

1-Levin Prinz (March 1893)
2-Tillie Prinz (June 1895)
3-Julia Prinz (July 1896-1918)
4-Eugene Prinz (May 1898)
5-Elsie Prinz Jablonski (Feb 11 1904- Sept 2 1963) married Louis J. Jablonski
6-Ferdinand Edward Prinz (Feb 7 1906)
7-Edward Prinz, Jr. (abt 1909)



Note-name on death certificate was transcribed as 'Pring' even though it clearly looks like a 'z'.
