Albert Dean Adams, 73, of North Vernon died Saturday, April 29, 2006, in North Vernon.
He was born Oct. 16, 1932, in Perry County, Ky., the son of Jesse J. and Henrietta Kincaid Adams. He had retired from Cummins Engine Co. in 1985 after 33 years as a supervisor, foreman, and manufacturing engineer. He was a member of the Coffee Creek Christian Church and enjoyed fishing, boating, traveling and trap shooting.
Surviving are his wife, Birdie Adams, whom he married April 26, 1952; two sons, Alan D. Adams of North Vernon and Mark W. Adams of Columbus; one daughter, Robin J. Meek of Dupont; two brothers, Jim Mullins of Florida and Bill Mullins of Paris Crossing; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles Adams and Doyle Mullins; and one sister, Chloe Adams Bowling.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home in North Vernon, with burial in the Coffee Creek Christian Church Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Coffee Creek Christian Church Building Fund or the American Cancer Society.
