Funeral services for Leroy Bartley Varnes (1883-1940), 56, of Harlem, lifelong resident of Putnam county, who died here yesterday afternoon, as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident near Green Cove Springs, Sunday, will be held at the Bardin Primitive Baptist church at 1 o'clock, Sunday, with Rev. Leroy Wasdin officiating. Interment will follow in the Bardin cemetery.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mamie Varnes, one daughter, Mrs. Ola Woodcock of this city, three sons, Leon Varnes of Baldwin, Julian and Roan Varnes, both of Harlem, and five grandchildren.
