Roan Edwards Varnes Sr., 29, of Florahome, was accidentally killed yesterday afternoon in a fall from a truck near Lake Geneva, it was learned here today.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the Bardin Baptist Church with Rev. Boone officiating. Interment will be made in the church cemetery under the direction of Ralph W. Tucker Funeral Home of Green Cove Springs.
The deceased was a native of Florahome and at the time of his death was employed by S. F. MacKenzie Construction Company, of Fort Pierce.
Surviving is his mother, Mrs. Mamie Varnes, son Roan Edward Varnes, Jr., and a brother, J. C. Varnes, of Florahome, and another brother, Leon Varnes, of Meldrim, Ga., and a number of nieces and nephews.
