Abraham was a son of Samuel and Clarinda (Gemes)Lear Sapp, He was born in Boone county and moved to Warsaw (Benton Co) Mo. around 1839. He lived in Benton Co. Mo until around 1880 when he moved back to Boone Co. Mo.
On Dec 2,1864,He enlisted in the Union Army. He was assigned to Company F 45th Regiment Missouri Volunteers. Abraham served under Captian Pritchhard as a private. He was discharged on Mar 6, 1865
Abraham married 1st Susan Swift on 3-6-1851 in Benton Co. Mo., then to 2nd Mary (Mollie) Cash on 4-24-1864 in Benton Co. Mo.
