CHIEF PETTY OFFICER (SSC)
LLOYD CURTIS BEASLEY
of the U.S. Coast Guard

Lloyd Curtis Beasley, 74, of Elizabeth City, NC, was a son of the late Morris Fritz* and Elizabeth Johnson Beasley*.

He was predeceased by his sister, Callie Gallop* of Powell’s Point; a brother, Ivey Johnson* of Manteo and his beloved grandson
David_Martin_Beasley , *SEE FINDAGRAVE MEMORIAL LINKS BELOW.

Mr. Beasley served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard including in the Vietnam War, I believe as a Subsistence Specialist (SSC). After retirement, he worked for NC Department of Corrections for ten years and then for Allied Marine Industries for six years (I believe in Norfolk, Virginia).

In addition to his wife - Mary Willis Beasley - of 54 years he is survived by six children, Lloyd Franklin Beasley and wife Patsy, Morris Clyde Beasley, Sr. of Surgoinsville, TN, Ronald Lee Beasley and wife Heather, Wayne Curtis Beasley of Elizabeth City, John Daniel Beasley and wife Jennifer of Roanoke Rapids and Maria Beasley Madonia of Weeksville; He also had eleven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren and also numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service with full military honors was held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Twiford Memorial Chapel. Interment was in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery and Twiford Funeral Homes served the Beasley family.

"Sadly missed along life's way,
quietly remembered every day...
No longer in our life to share,
but in our hearts, he's always there."

"Those we hold closest to our hearts never truly leave us. They live on in the kindness they have shared and the love they
brought into our lives."

Updated on 10Sept2019 by me, Robert "Cookie" Keith VanDuren. I am a friend and former fellow employee (Coast Guard Private Security, Elizabeth City NC) of the deceased's son Lloyd Franklin Beasley. He and I also both served in the U.S. Navy; I on the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz and Lloyd on the aircraft carrier USS Roosevelt.

Note: I previously and erroneously listed CPO Beasley as a Senior; he was not. And I appreciate a nephew pointing out my mistake. Although I never met CPO Beasley, I've met and like very much Mr Beasley's wife Mary and son Lloyd. Also, I am very patriotic, to a fault.

This Memorial is [still] a Work-in-Progress. I haven't added any More to it due to my serious health problems.
More info, may be in added or deleted later, including additional (or deletion) of living family members, but I will be keeping privacy of those family members in mind, especially younger ones.

***If any Beasley family member would like me to transfer this FindAGrave Memorial to them, I would be happy to do so.***
