Paul Lorin Lochridge passed away Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014. He was born July 2, 1928, in Red Lodge to Charles Lorin and Helen (Hitchcock) Lochridge.

Paul graduated high school in Red Lodge and earned a bachelor's degree from Montana State University. He served our country as a member of the United States Navy from 1946 until 1948. He worked for Northern Pacific Railroad from 1950 until 1958 and was a teacher from 1958 until 1990.

Paul married Rita Barnes on Nov. 9, 1955, in Idaho Falls and together the couple had 10 children. His family was his highest priority and he made a point to show affection with hugs and kisses.

He enjoyed his teaching career (largely as an eighth-grade teacher in Livingston), reading, hunting, hiking, politics and peanut butter. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, Veteran's of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, Montana Education Association and National Education Association. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since his conversion in 1954.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rita (on Nov. 9, 2014); son, Kenneth; an infant brother; and sister, Doris M. Lochridge.

He is survived by his children, Rey Lain of Denver, Dain (Lori) of Alberta, Canada, Tauna of Winnemucca, Nevada, Jeff (Julie) of Rexburg, Idaho, Susan (Rod) of Alberta, Canada, Barry (Josie) of Dillon, Peggy (Brandon) of Belgrade, Vance (Roxanne) of Yuma, Arizona, and Sabrina (Brian) of Bozeman; brother Larry (Donna) of Las Vegas; 54 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Paul's funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 2, 2015, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2915 Colter Ave., Bozeman, MT 59715.

Memorials may be made in Paul's name to the Perpetual Education Fund, Bozeman 2nd Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2915 Colter Ave. Bozeman, MT 59715.
