Bernard S. Bonk , 76, a retired Navistar supervisor, died Wednesday at Olympia Fields Osteopathic Medical Center, Olympia Fields, after a long illness.
Mr. Bonk , of southwest suburban Oak Lawn, worked for Navistar, then known as International Harvester, for more than 40 years before retiring in 1975. He was a supervisor of engineering services at a plant in Hinsdale.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian; two sons, Bernard E. and Dr. Robert; a sister, Elizabeth Smith, and a brother, Joseph.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Thompson & Kuenster Funeral Home, 5570 W. 95th, Oak Lawn. Mass will be offered at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at St. Germaine Church, 4240 W. 98th, Oak Lawn. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum, 7200 S. Archer, Justice.
