She married James E. Forsyth, February 26, 1946, in Conde, SD. Her husband was a professional Army soldier, and they lived throughout the United State, Europe, and Asia during his military career. Mrs. Forsyth was active in the military family community and carried that on into the military retirement community.
Upon retirement in 1972, Mrs. Forsyth, and her husband, LTC (ret) James Earl Forsyth, settled in Springfield, MO, where they resided until 2001. LTC (ret) Forsyth preceded her in death July 26, 2001.
Survivors include one daughter, Jacqueline (and Brad) Herman of Rochester, MN; one son, James (and Karen) Forsyth, Jr. of Huntsville, AL; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lansford (and Frances) Trapp of Brookings, SD; and Raymond (and Sarah) Trapp of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Myrtle (and Lowell) Styles of Redfield, SD; and Doris (and Don) Zimmermann of Glide, OR; and two sisters-in-law, Jeanne Forsyth of Aberdeen, SD; and Helen Forsyth of Claremont, CA.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles.
A memorial service will be conducted December 6, 2005, at the Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, Springfield, MO.
