He graduated from Marlette High School in 1932. He married the former Jacqueline Dowling on March 4, 1944 in Caro, Michigan. Harold and Jacqueline settled in Marlette on the Wiegert Family Farm where they raised dairy cows and crops. He was a member of Marlette First Presbyterian Church and a member of the Marlette Sportsmen Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and traveling but more than anything he loved his family.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie, three daughters, Janine Wilhelmsen of Marlette, Mrs. Robert (Renee) Petersen of Silverwood and Mrs. William (Robin) Jones of Kingston; one son, Harold Wiegert Jr of Marlette; one sister, Mrs. Elsie Boyne of Marlette; and one brother, Roy Wiegert of Marlette; one daughter, Jo Ann preceded him in death in 1960.
Funeral services were held May 29 at Marsh Funeral Chapel of Marlette with Rev. Theodore Tate officiating. Burial was in the Marlette City Cemetery.
