Loren Wayne Langston was born August 30, 1939 in San Antonio, TX to Altha Mae Gardner. He was raised by Minnie and M.L. Gardner in Lubbock. He attended Central Ward, Carroll Thompson and graduated from Lubbock High School in 1958 where he played football and baseball. Loren attended Texas Tech where he played baseball and was involved in R.O.T.C. He served in the National Guard for six years.
Loren married his high school sweet heart, Roycee Fox on Febuary 10, 1961. He was proud of his Choctaw Heritage.
Loren worked at 555 Automotive, Modern Chevrolet, University Dodge. He retired from Aetna Life and Casualty after 21 years.
Preceded in death by mother, Altha Gardner and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M.L. Gardner.
Loved ones include his wife of fifty-two years, Roycee; sons, Larry and Renee Langston; Lonny and Brandy Langston; six grandchildren, Alexandra Langston, Gage Langston, Brittany Sangwin, Tyler, Abigail and Meagan Russell.
Memorials are suggested to the National Kidney Foundation, Salvation Army, Meals on Wheels or a charity of your choice.
Loren loved his Lord, His Family and friends. Throughout his life he excelled in and enjoyed sports; he especially enjoyed Texas Tech Football, Baseball and Basketball. Loren shared his knowledge and love of sports with our youth through Coaching YFL Football and Southwest Little League.
