Mrs. Chapman was a native of Lincoln County. She was a retired nurse from Merihil Healthcare and was a member of the Lewisburg First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Green and Annie May Ashby Askins, and sisters, Inez Brown, Evelyn Mooningham, and Mildred Egera Talley.
She is survived by her daughter, Janice Willene (Nicky) Foster of Petersburg; sisters, Marjorie Hofflin of Chesapeake Bay, Va. and Glendon Shaw of Martin, Tenn.; two grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Feb. 12, from the chapel of London Funeral Home, followed by burial in Lone Oak Cemetery.
