Celebration of Life services for Donald 'Don' Dee, age 71, of North Kansas City, will be at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 6th, at Slater United Methodist Church. Inurnment will be at a later date in Slater City Cemetery.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.

1943-2014 On November 26th, 2014 Don Dee of NKC "passed on to Glory" due to complications with pneumonia. He was born in Booneville, MO on August 9, 1943. He was 71 years old and leaves behind 4 children: Donnie (CA), Steven (MO), Lisa (MO) and Mike (MO). He also had 6 grandchildren: Johnny, Jenny, Amanda, Alex, Jordan and Zachary. He had one sibling, Earl Dee of Houston, TX. He was a Kansas City native which he calls the best city in America. He played basketball in the 1968 Olympics winning a gold medal, he also played professionally with the Indiana Pacers. He was passionate about woodworking and the KC Chiefs and Royals. There will be a celebration of his life for family and friends on Saturday, Dec 6th at 1:00 pm at the Gilliam United Methodist Church in Slater Mo. Arr: Park Lawn Northland Chapel 816-781-8228.
