DONALD L. RANKIN SR.
Donald L. Rankin Sr., age 60, of Hopwood, Pa., passed away Thursday, July 31, 2003 in Uniontown Hospital.
He was born January 23, 1943 in Prosperity, Pa., to Harry Rankin and Henrietta Ringer Rankin.
He was a truck driver by profession for D. M. Bowman of Williamsport, Maryland, and awarded "Driver of the Year".
He was a member of the Million Miles Club and also the Hutchinson Sportman's Club.
A brother, Robert Rankin, a sister, Gladys Bush, a son Paul Rankin, and parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Bonnie Shaffer Rankin; two sons: Donald Rankin Jr. and his fiancé, Lori, and Christopher Rankin and his wife Billie Jo; two very special grandchildren: Christopher Jr. and Rachel; a special little girl, Chelsea; special children of Lori's: Leann, Samantha and Ryan; brothers and sisters: Harry Rankin Jr. and wife Irene, of Texas, Ronald Rankin and wife Tully, and James Rankin all of Uniontown, Pa., Irene Crupe, Ann Phillips and Mary Jane Williams all of Washington, Pa., Geraldine Fisher and husband Gifford, of Fairchance, Pa., Freda Ritz of Hopwood, Pa., and Dotty Campbell and husband Larry, of Fairchance, Pa.; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and Monday
August 4, until 11:00a.m., the hour of service with Rev. Kenneth Walls officiating.
Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Brownfield, Pa.
Visitation was also held Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m.
