Loretta J. Eaton

Loretta Jean Eaton, 62, of 545 S. Silver Lake Road, Castle Rock, died April 3, 1996, in a Chehalis nursing home.

She was born July 22, 1933, in Oklahoma City, Okla,, to Charley and Mable (Taylor) Fox, and was a resident of the local area most of her life. She attended Castle Rock schools.

Mrs. Eaton worked very hard inside and outside her home. She liked raising plants, particularly roses, strawberries and pine trees. She also loved to cook and bake and was good at both, loved the outdoors and fishing, and loved to laugh. She enjoyed going to her children's sporting events.

She and her husband, Daryl, would have celebrated 25 years of marriage on April 19. He survives her at home.

Also surviving are seven sons, Johnny Bays and Donny Bays, both of Castle Rock, Ronny Bays of Silver Lake, Lonny Bays of Longview, Wade Moore of Des Moines, Iowa, Craig Eaton of Kelso and Tony Eaton at home; two daughters, Connie Kerr of Longview and Bonnie Moore of Rainier; a brother Gerald Fox of Castle Rock; three sisters, Leta McCarter of Grants Pass, Ore., Charlotte Combs of Poulson, Mont., and Barbara Miland of Gold Beach, Ore.; 20 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter.

The funeral was to be held at 3 p.m. today at the Castle Rock Christian Church with Pastor Ed Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Whittle-Hubbard Cemetery under the direction of Hubbard Funeral Home.
