G.G. Jennings, 91, of Dedham died of Alzheimer's disease Tuesday at Friendship House in Audubon. Services were held Saturday at St. Joseph Church in Dedham, of which he was a member. Burial was at the church cemetery.
Mr. Jennings was born in Elliot and had lived in Dedham since 1931. He was a veterinarian and a member of Dedham Cooperative, Dedham Commercial Club and Iowa State Veterinary association. He had received the Outstanding Service Award from Carroll County Cattleman's Association in 1979.
Survivors include two sons, Gregory of El Paso, TX, and Richard of Fort Worth, TX; five daughters, Jeannine Nepple of Muscatine, Joan Adair of Omaha, Cynthia Carter of Iowa City, Grace Matthews of North Liberty and Julie Hoffman of Audubon; six sisters, Phyllis Green of Palm Desert, California, Patricia Erskins of Council Bluffs, Louise Willenborg and Laura Klocke, both of Dedham and Arlene Caligiuri and Mary Mateer, both of Des Moines; a brother Richard of Elliot; 22 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll is handling arrangements.
