Oliver R. (Butch) Carroll Jr.

Butch was born June 22, 1951 in Rayville, LA and died on November 20, 2014. He loved his Lord, family, church and country with all his heart.

He was preceded in death by his father Oliver R. Carroll Sr. He is survived by his wife, Jo Wood Carroll, mother Helen Carroll, daughter Allison, and sons Todd and Richard. The apples of his eye were his three grandchildren - Natalie, Nathan, and Isabelle. He is also survived by his four siblings: Liz Seals, Sue Adams, Jimmy Carroll, and Janice Daves and their respective families. He was also much beloved by his mother-in-law Sophia Wood, in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Butch was a man of few words but all that knew him knew of his deep devotion to God and the Dallas Cowboys. He was also a proud alumnus of C.E. Byrd High School and Northeast Louisiana State University. He was a proud servant of his country in the Army Reserves for over 30 years.

A Memorial Service will be held at Broadmoor Baptist Church on Monday, November 24th at 10:00 a.m., with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until service starts. Officiating will be Dr. Chuck A. Pourciau, Senior Pastor and Dr. Tom Harrison, Executive Pastor. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Northwest Louisiana Veteran's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to Broadmoor Baptist Church building fund, of the .
